Embossed Green and Red Thanks Teacher |
This is the second thank you card I made for my daughter's teacher.
The Friday Mashup Challenge - FM186 |
I adopt the sketch from The Friday Mashup Challenge - FM186 as shown above and rotate it clockwise so that the sentiment would fit. I decided to use the sketch only as I am out of ideas on how to incorporate "surprise element, something you wouldn't expect to see on a card/or an unexpected embellishment".
Close-up: Dry embossed green and red strips |
A piece of green card stock is dry embossed with polka dots while a red card stock is dry embossed with flowers. Then, it is trimmed into the desired size and attached onto a white card stock.
Close-up: Sentiment |
The sentiment is stamped below the strips and the empty gap in the letters of 'Thanks' is colored using Copic marker. The card is finished off with some green gems added to the front and back of 'teacher' wording.
