Leafy Thanks So Much

Leafy Thanks So Much
There are a lot of inspirations on my mind these few days. I guess it has something to do with the challenges themes that the challenges blogs had for this week! Thus, I made another simple and clean card for some challenges to go with the flow! :P

CAS(E) This Sketch Challenge #6
This time, I play with CAS(E) This Sketch Challenge #6 as shown above. As this challenge blog named, I just need to keep my card clean and simple (CAS) which I been doing a few these days and I am loving it!

On a yellow card stock, a masked circle is placed near the bottom left corner where the sentiment would be stamped later. A leafy branch is used to stamp randomly onto the yellow card stock to create self-made pattern paper. The four (4) corners are rounded and distressed on the edges.

Close-up : The sentiment
The sentiment is stamped onto the masked circle with black ink. A cream card base is rounded at four (4) corners. Then a blue strip that has been punched with some border design on both end are attached onto the cream card base as in sketch. The yellow card is attached on top of it as in sketch.

Clean, simple and easy to produce!

My Daughter Shaker Birthday Card

Shaker Birthday Card
The next two (2) weeks is my daughter sixth birthday, well by birth date, she is just turned six years old but she been admitting that she is six years old early of 2012. That is some of the disadvantages of being born in the end of the year! You celebrate your birthday late and you get older right after your actual birth date!

I want to make a special card for her. Thus, I decided to make a shaker card for her so that she can play a little with the birthday card! I think she will be excited when she got to know that she can shake the card!

Cute Cards Thursday Challenge 242 - A Sketch
The sketch from Cute Cards Thursday Challenge 242 is just perfect for my shaker card as I want to keep the card design as simple as possible. This is because is my first time trying to make a shaker card. I been watching some videos and tutorials which is quite easy in theory but practically, I am not sure. Guess, I just have to make one to know the tricks!

Close-up : Colored princess
The princess is stamped on a white circle and colored with Copic markers. Then, the foam ring is attached onto the white circle and let dry. After the foam ring is dried, some pearl hearts are added into the circle before attaching the acetate circle.

Close-up : The pearl hearts moved around when shake
A pattern paper where the four (4) corners are rounded is attached onto a pink card base which the corners has been rounded as well. A red embossed card stock is cut according to the position the shaker would be and rounded at the corners.

Close-up : The sentiment
The shaker is attached accordingly to the back of the red embossed card stock. The red embossed card stock are attached on to the card base with dimensional foams. The sentiment is stamped on a pink circle and some faux stitching are added to the lining of the circle in white.

Dimension : 10.16cm x 15.24 cm or 4" x 6"
Type : Horizontal fold

Red Birdies Wedding Wishes

Red Birdies Wedding Wishes
Is the time of the year again - wedding months! Thus, I made this wedding wishes card as to go with the season. :)

Try Stampin' On Tuesday Challenge #91
I adopt the sketch from Try Stampin' On Tuesday Challenge #91 sketch/challenge as shown above. The sketch gives me an inspiration to make a gate folded card after I turn the sketch anti clockwise.

Close-up : The birdies
Those birdies has been dusted for a while. The last time I use them is in January 2012 for this card. Guess it is time to dust the dust off these birdies! The birdies are stamped on a white circle and also some pattern papers and color stock as I like to paper piece them. Then, the white circle is distressed with some red ink before attaching onto a scallop circle pattern paper.

Close-up : Pattern paper with wedding sentiments
On a red card base, a strip of pattern paper with wedding sentiments is attached to the bottom of the card as shown in the sketch. As it has nice wedding sentiments, I omit stamping another sentiment to the card. The pattern paper with wedding sentiments do the job well!

Close-up : Female birdie
Some red and white twine is tied to the white card stock that has been embossed with hearts design. It is layer on the left side of the fold follow by the scallop circle. The card is finished with some pearl hearts to the male birdie's tail and female birdie's head. One of the wings of the birds are pop-up using dimensional foam.
Close-up : Male birdie

Dimension : 13.97cm x 13.97cm or 5.5" x 5.5"
Type : Horizontal gate fold
Inlay : None
Code : WW#001 (Please click here for order form)

Freshly Made Sketches #59

Close-up : Squares of images and sentiment
Four (4) white squares are prepared and stamped with the images and sentiment. They are colored with Copic markers and the edges are distressed. I just love it after the edges has been distressed. A yellow card stock is used as the background base whereby a multi colored strip is attached onto it follow by the squares.

Close-up : Yellow grosgrain ribbon with pearl heart shaped bucket
A yellow grosgrain ribbon is attached to the bottom of the background base whereby a pearl heart shaped bucket is used in the middle.
