New Corner Rounder

Like usual, after lunch, I walk around 1 Utama as I still have lunch break time. I go to Popular bookstore to see if they have new activity books or stationery.

I go to the stationery section and look around the papers first - nothing new. Then I go row by row of the stationery they have. When I come to this cutter row, something catch my eyes. I cannot believe my eyes! It is a corner cutter!

Warrior Mini Corner Cutter (L) in packaging
I take the pack and check for instructions. Well, it is indeed a corner cutter! I take out the cutter and try it just to make sure. It cut or corner really well. The blade is sharp. I just like it. It has two (2) sizes - small and large. But the small size is not available and just the large size is available. I put back the cutter I test just now and look for a new one with different color.

My new Warrior Mini Corner Cutter (L)
I decided to purchase it as it only cost me RM18.90, it is sharp and large in size (10mm radius)! The next best thing is that I have Popular card which entitle me a further 10% discount which equals to RM17 only! I dislike the one I am having now which is EK Success Small Rounder Corner. It does not round well whereby there is still uncut or not rounded area after I punch it. I always need to smooth the rounding areas with scissor. That is the reason why I seldom make rounded cards. This EK Success Small Rounder Corner is not cheap as well. If I remember correctly, it costs me about RM50+!

My current EK Success Small Rounder Corner
Popular bookstore is becoming involve in crafting products these few years through their in-house brand known as Pop Artz. Well, it is a good news as I have another new place to look for craft supplies and cheaper in price as well!

Spellbinders Nestabilities and Jenni Bowlin Inkpad

I been surfing Oh My Crafts online store for past few days ever since they have this President Day sale as well as 20% discount on order over USD$20. Who do not loves discount especially when Oh My Crafts offer 20% discount on order over USD$20 which usually they only offer 10% discount only.

Furthermore, they have this American Crafts Dear Lizzy Neopolitan Jar stamp in stock which is my wishlist. I select this stamp set and put it in my shopping cart. Then I browse through other product as it needs to be over USD$20 to entitle the 20% discount.

Spellbinders Nestabilities S4-129 Classic Scallop Squares Small
Finally, I settle for another Spellbinders Nestabilities. I choose the Spellbinders Nestabilities S4-129 Classic Scallop Squares Small as I would like to make baby announcement tag. I choose this scallop squares as I need to coordinate the square to the stamp of baby details in Hero Arts CL145 Baby Girl. It took me some time to find the size of the Spellbinders Nestabilities whereby I measure between Spellbinders Nestabilities S4-129 Classic Scallop Squares Small and Spellbinders Nestabilities S4-127 Classic Scallop Squares Large.

Back : The actual dies
Well, for some reasons, I did not purchase right away. Actually I am waiting for the last day of sale as I am hoping that Oh My Crafts will have another discount coupon. Well, it is my bad that I have this hope as after few days I login to my accounts, the American Crafts Dear Lizzy Neopolitan Jar stamp is out of stock! I am so disappointing.

Ranger Jenni Bowlin dye ink pad - Stick Candy
As the 20% discount condition is only applicable when my total purchase is more than USD$20, I have no choice but to select another product. I browse through the items I want but most of them are out of stock. In the end, I select one of the Jenni Bowlin dye inkpad. I encounter this inkpad during Kelly Marie Alvarez, owner of Lawn Fawn use it in her Lawn Clipping video. Well, since I only need a very minimal amount to hit the USD$20, I decided to purchase this Jenni Bowlin dye inkpad and give it a try.

I quickly made my payment this time to avoid the same situation of out of stock happening again. However, there is no update from Oh My Crafts until three (3) days after I made my payment. On 24 February 2012, finally I got an update from them that my package is shipped.

Today, the package is arrived at my doorstep. Again, I have to really find some time to make some cards using these new supplies and tools I been purchasing for the past few months. It seems that time is not enough for me as I a juggling between my office works, house works, my six years old daughter home works as well as taking care my three (3) months old baby boy!

Cutey Monsters Mini Card

Cutey Monsters Mini Card
I made this card for my newly known friend, Ishmah Aiman whom I assisted her to purchase the Ciao 24 pieces set (IB24) for her manga drawing.

Due to time constraints (thanks to my six years old daughter and three months plus son), I just manage to make a simple mini card to fit into the box of the 24 pieces Copic Ciao that I am going to post to her tomorrow. I keep it as simple as possible but wanted it to look cute too. Thus, I choose the monsters stamps.

Close-up : Tall monster on the left
I stamp the tall monster on the left side of the card so that I can stamp the shorter monster on the right. I purposely arrange them that way as I want the sentiment on top of the shorter monster. The sentiment, "Imagine, Play, Create" is suitable to use here as Aiman has a new set of markers to play with and with her imagination, I wish her could create something nice.

Close-up : Shorter monster on the right and sentiment
The bodies of the monsters, I use my stash of patterned paper and plain cardstock and pop it up using pop dots. The rest of the parts are colored using Copic markers. I finish them with some googly eyes and yellow diamonds for the aerial. I distress the edge of the white cardstock using some blue ink before attaching it on top of a yellow card base.

Dimension : 10.16cm x 10.16cm or 4" x 4"
Type : Vertical fold
Inlay : None

More Copic Markers!

From top to bottom :
V04 Lilac
E08 Brown
E21 Baby Skin Pink
I add my Copic markers collection by purchasing another three (3) Copic Ciao markers namely E08 Brown, E21 Baby Skin Pink and V04 Lilac today.

I decided to purchase these additional Copic Ciao markers because I found out that there is this E21 Baby Skin Pink color when I purchase the Ciao 24 pieces set (IB24) for my newly known friend, Ishmah Aiman on Friday. Aiman wanted the Ciao 24 pieces set (IB24) for her manga drawing but the store do not have the set. Thus, I have to pick the individual markers instead to make up the set.

It was after I purchase and got home that I get to know there is this E21 Baby Skin Pink color. Since I been collecting and purchasing for baby craft stuffs lately, how this E21 Baby Skin Pink color can be not in my list! Thus, I went back to the store on Sunday, not on that purpose actually. The main reason I have opportunity to visit the store is because my husband want to purchase Samsung Galaxy Notes which are having roadshow.

I decided to have other two (2) colors, E08 Brown and V04 Lilac because in my Copic collection, both the brown and the violet I have is too dark. Thus, I adding these two (2) colors to my Copic collection for ease of use.

Note :

Pre-order for Copic markers are now open. Please refer here on how to order! Thanks!
