3D Rose Birthday

Made this mini card for a colleague whose birthday is on next Saturday but need to gave her earlier cause there are public holidays in Malaysia next week. I am so fond of 3"x3" mini card these days and I made a number of them already! Another great reason to made 3"x3" mini card is because I am going to insert the card into a transparent gift pouch together with the gift as I did previously. Thus, 3"x3" mini card is really useful - they are mini, adorable and easy to go together with the gift!

Mojo Monday 304

I adopt the simple square sketch from Mojo Monday 304 as shown above. The colors and patterns are inspired by the Pinspired Challenge #14 shown below.

Close-up : Sentiment

A polka dots pattern paper is trimmed and attached onto a green card base. On a white circle, the sentiment is stamped and partial of the circle on the left is trimmed as per sketch. The semi circle is then distressed before attaching onto the card base as in sketch.

A red diamond washi tape is attached to the card as in sketch. I have to trim down the washi tape a bit to accommodate the space of the mini card.

Close-up : 3D rose

On a white card stock, four (4) roses are stamped and colored using Copic markers. Then, the four (4) colored roses trimmed so that they can be layered upon each to create some dimension using pop dots. Two (2) leaves are tucked behind the rose as decoration as shown in the sketch. I just love the 3D effect of the layering!
