Bear Birthday Hugs!

Made this card for my elder auntie whose birthday is coming up soon. She lives in another state up north and I wanted to give a hug on her birthday. Thus, I come up with this bear birthday hug idea!

Deconstructed Sketch No. 109

I adopt the sketch from Deconstructed Sketch No. 109 as shown above. I was inspired by few challenge blogs' theme which polka dots whereby I also wanted to use my newly purchased Cuttlebug® A2 Swiss Dots Emboss Folder.

Close-up : Multicolored embossed strips

I created a multicolored strips of background as shown in the sketch in which I embossed it with the dots. However, I leave the second last strip blank because I wanted to stamp the sentiment without any embossing pattern on it. This will make the sentiment stand out a bit.

The bear is stamped on a white circle and colored using Copic markers.

Close-up : The colorful ribbon

A colorful ribbon is attached onto the embossed background as in the sketch before attaching it onto a card base. The bear image is then attached onto the ribbon and embossed background as shown in the sketch.

Close-up : Button with pink bow

A button with tied pink bow is attached onto the card as in the sketch.
