Wow! So Many Candles.....

Made this card for my manager who share same birth date of the colleague I made the mini card earlier. My manager should have reach the retirement age but he is still strong and likes to run marathon! Salute to him!

Tuesday Morning Sketches #209

I adopt the sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches #209 as shown above by rotating it counter clockwise as I decided to participate in Loves Rubberstamps Challenge 63 - Skinny Cards - 4"x9".

It is a simple sketch where a green card stock is trimmed accordingly and attached onto a blue card base. Then, a polka dots pattern paper is trimmed and attached onto a green panel.

Close-up : The candles

The candles are stamped onto the white card stock. Five (5) candles are stamped on the first row and six (6) candles are stamped on the second row to represent his age, 56 (hopefully I guesses his age right! :P). The candles are colored, first row in blue and second row in red to differentiate. It is then distressed on the edges before attaching onto the card as in sketch.

Close-up : The postage frame

The postage frame is die cut and the edges are distressed as well. It is attached to the card using pop dots to create dimension.

Close-up : Sentiment

The sentiment is stamped onto a white circle. The circle is distressed as well before attaching onto the card as in sketch using pop dots to create dimension.

Wow! So Many Candles..... - Inside

Inside the card, another sentiment is stamped directly onto the card, just to add some spice to the card. ;)

3D Rose Birthday

3D Rose Birthday

Made this mini card for a colleague whose birthday is on next Saturday but need to gave her earlier cause there are public holidays in Malaysia next week. I am so fond of 3"x3" mini card these days and I made a number of them already! Another great reason to made 3"x3" mini card is because I am going to insert the card into a transparent gift pouch together with the gift as I did previously. Thus, 3"x3" mini card is really useful - they are mini, adorable and easy to go together with the gift!

Mojo Monday 304

I adopt the simple square sketch from Mojo Monday 304 as shown above. The colors and patterns are inspired by the Pinspired Challenge #14 shown below.

Close-up : Sentiment

A polka dots pattern paper is trimmed and attached onto a green card base. On a white circle, the sentiment is stamped and partial of the circle on the left is trimmed as per sketch. The semi circle is then distressed before attaching onto the card base as in sketch.

A red diamond washi tape is attached to the card as in sketch. I have to trim down the washi tape a bit to accommodate the space of the mini card.

Close-up : 3D rose

On a white card stock, four (4) roses are stamped and colored using Copic markers. Then, the four (4) colored roses trimmed so that they can be layered upon each to create some dimension using pop dots. Two (2) leaves are tucked behind the rose as decoration as shown in the sketch. I just love the 3D effect of the layering!

Dimension : 7.62cm x 7.62cm or 3" x 3"
