Simple Just Saying Hello Card

Simple Just Saying Hello Card
What is the better way to spend my annual leaves if not making some cards while accompanying my family? :P I am continuing to make these postcard-style cards for my colleagues as the MCO lockdown has been lifted and the team is organizing a gathering in December 2021. Thus, I will have a chance to meet my colleagues physically and pass along these postcard-style cards.

CAS - Colours and Sketches - Challenge #447 - Sketch
For these cards, I am adopting the sketch from CAS - Colours and Sketches - Challenge #447 - Sketch as shown above. Nowadays, I always made two (2) cards from the same sketch as it saved time and produces two (2) cards. Somehow, I either change up the image or rotate the sketch to give it a bit different.

Close-up: Diagonal left downward colours strip
As this sketch is simple, I decided to use up the scrap cardstocks by making a strip of diagonal pattern that consists of four (4) color cardstocks. One of them, the diagonal is from left downward while another is right downward. A simple style like this is suitable for masculine cards which indeed I need as there are male colleagues in my team.

Simple Just Saying Hello Card - Original Sketch Design
Two (2) lace border rectangles are die-cut from kraft cardstock. While two (2) cross-stitched rectangles are die-cut from white cardstock. Then, the cross-stitched rectangles are trimmed to the design as shown in the sketch.

Close-up: Sentiment on 180 degrees rotated design
Before the trimmed cross-stitched rectangles are attached to the kraft lace border rectangles, it is stamped with sentiment as shown in the sketch with one as original position while another after it was rotated 180 degrees to the right.

Simple Just Saying Hello Card - Rotated 180 Degrees Right Sketch Design
Then, the diagonal pattern strip is attached to the kraft lace border panels as shown in the sketch, one in its original position while another after it was rotated 180 degrees to the right. The trimmed white cross-stitched panels are attached to the kraft lace border base using foam tape to create some dimension since it is a simple design.

This card is entering the challenge(s) organized by:

I love the diagonal pattern you made with the offcuts of card and the clever way you incorporated it into our sketch. Thank you for coming to play with us at CAS Colours and Sketches! Vicky x
