3D Rose Just Wanted to Say Thank You for All Your Help

Made these cards for some of my associates that helped me in my recent case and situation. I been chasing them like crazy people for last few days of my case dateline and I am sure a lot pressures are on their shoulder. Thus, I hope these cards will show them how much I really appreciate their helps, urgent and priority on my case.

Viva la Verve Sketches - October Sketch 2

For this card, I am adopting Viva la Verve Sketches - October Sketch 2 as shown above. Nowadays, I am saving up some time by making two (2) cards using one (1) sketch either by mirroring or rotating the sketch. By doing so, I really can share more times as well as built up my cards stash!

I decided to make my signature 3D flower for this card. I stamp flower image three (3) times and colored them in Copic markers. One of them is die cut using the matching die while the other two (2) are trimmed accordingly to the portion I need. The leaves are stamped on a green card stock using green ink and die cut.

On a trimmed vellum, I did some dry embossing. This is my first attempt of using vellum in dry embossing and it turned out well! The embossed vellum is then attach onto a yellow card base as in sketch.

On an orange card stock, the sentiment is stamped and fishtailed on both ends. It is attached onto the card base, one on the bottom and another one on top.

Then, the base of the flower that die cut with matching die and leaves are assemble and attach onto the card base as in sketch. The 3D flower is then built upon it using foam tape.

As final touch, I add some shimmer onto the flower and fill the 'Thank You' sentiment space to make it all shine and nice! Two (2) white pearls are also added to the start and end of the sentiment sentence.

I also made matching envelopes for these cards by stamping the similar flower and leaves onto the envelope flap. This is my first time made a matching envelope and I just love it!

This is my second card of the day in my card making quest for my Thailand colleague and this one is for a female colleague.

Close-up: Flamingo

On a white tag, the flamingo image is stamped and colored with Copic markers. It is then attached onto a yellow card base that has been layered with colorful stripes pattern paper.

Close-up: Sentiment on a fishtailed banner

On a blue strip, the sentiment is stamped and at the right end, it is fishtailed. It is attached onto the top of the tag using foam tape.

Finally, three (3) pink gems are added to both the left bottom and top right corner of the card by forming a 'L' shape. Some shimmers are added to the flamingo to make it more pop.

This is my second card for the day in which I made it for another of my returning Copic markers buyers as well. I am really thankful for his support!

CAS(E) This Sketch #178

I am adopting the sketch from CAS(E) This Sketch #178 as shown above but forgotten to link-up to the challenge InLinkz. :(

As the sketch is simple and concentrated on the right bottom corner, I decided to have an all-in-one image and sentiment! First, the postage is die cut using white card stock to get the inside of the postage where the image will be. Then, the postage is die cut again using green card stock for its postage border.

The fountain and the bird are stamped and colored using Copic markers. I been having this Lawn Fawn Gnome Sweet Gnome stamp set for a while but the fountain and the bird are never inked before. What a shame! But today, I get to play with them and I love it very much! I do some blue highlight to the images so that it is more stand out.

On the bottom of the postage border, the sentiment 'For Your Purchase' is stamped. Then, I die cut the word 'Thanks' onto some pattern paper.

For the assembly, the postage border is first attached onto the blue card base. Then, follow by the image using foam tape. Finally, the die cut word 'Thanks' onto the image.

I am adopting the sketch from Retrosketches #219 as shown above which is perfect for Tag You're It Challenge #50 too as shown below. Somehow, I did not realize that Retrosketches #219 already over until I almost finished my card. :( Thus, I am playing with Retrosketches #219 sketch without entering the challenge.

Close-up: The tags

First, a white tag is die cut follow by the pattern paper tag. On the white tag, the flower is stamped at the bottom of the tag and colored using Copic markers. The white area above the flower is distressed using distress ink to mimic sky. The butterfly is stamped and colored using Copic markers as well before it is die cut using matching dies. Both of the tags are attached together with the pattern paper tag behind the flower tag. Then, the butterfly is attach onto the flower tag using dimension tape. Some white and red twine is tied to the tag.

On a yellow card base, a washi tape with white dots and red background is layered across the card base as in sketch. Then, the sentiment is stamped onto the top corner as in sketch. The words 'Thank You' is colored using Copic marker.

The tags are attached to the card base as in sketch. As final touch, some shimmers are added to the wings of the butterfly as well as the 'Thank You' wording.

Made this card for another of my first time Copic markers buyers who uses Copic markers in her arts.

Sketch Saturday Week #389

I am adopting Sketch Saturday Week #389 as shown above.

The mug is stamped on a white corner rounded square die cut and colored with Copic markers. The steam is stamped on top of the mug to show that it is coming out from the mug. Then, it is distressed with ink to tone down the whiteness.

On a green card base, the coffee beans are randomly stamped to create background. A red scalloped square die cut is attached onto the card base as in sketch. The the corner rounded square die cut with colored image is attach onto the red scalloped square using dimension foam.

The sentiment is stamped onto a yellow strip and corner rounded. Some faux stitching is added around the sentiment. It is later attach onto the card base as in sketch.

The card is finished off with adding some white pearls to the four corners of the ed scalloped square die cut and three (3) pink gems below the sentiment. I also added some shimmers to the steam and the mug.

Made this card for my son's kindergarten class principal teacher who is resigning to venture into her own nursery and childcare center nearby area. She very understanding and easy-going kind of person. I think it would be a loss to my son that she is leaving as he loves her so much.

For this card, I adopt the sketch from Viva la Verve Sketches - September Week 4 Sketch as shown above.

Close-up: The whiteboard with message/sentiment

Instead of chalkboard, I decided to make a whiteboard instead so that I can make the 'Thank You' words to be the focus by applying color and glitter onto it. The whiteboard frame is colored using Copic markers and I purposely make some dirty marks on the corners of the whiteboard as used to see in real life. The duster/eraser is also colored with Copic markers. It is then trimmed and attached onto a silvery card stock where the bottom has been punched using border puncher.

On right top corner of the silvery card stock, a yellow round tab is secured to it. Two (2) round red quicklets are used on the round tab. Then, the silvery card stock is attached onto a green card base.

Another two cards for my kids' Teacher's Day using 'one sketch two cards' idea!

CAS(E) This Sketch #122

This time, I play with CAS(E) This Sketch #122 as shown above. The sketch is similar to the previous cards I made here whereby one of the card will follow the original sketch (as shown above) while another card, it will be rotated clockwise 180 degree. I like to call it 'upside down cards'. *grin*

On the fishtail banner die cuts, the sentiment is stamp. Another small fishtail banner die cuts are attached to the sentiment fishtail banners as in sketch before attaching them onto the cards base as in sketch.

The flowers and leaves are stamped on a white card stock and colored using Copic markers. They are trimmed accordingly. The leaves are attached onto the banners following by the flowers using foam tape as in sketch.

The cards are finished off by rounding the four corners.

Crazy 4 Challenges - C4C269

I adopt the simple sketch from Crazy 4 Challenges - C4C269 as shown above but rotate it 180 degree to suit my design.

I am using some new stamp and dies on this card which I purchased last month such as these My Favorite Things (MFT) LLD Perk Up Stamp Set and My Favorite Things (MFT) LLD Coffee Cup Die-namics. Before assembling the coffee cup, a white strip of white card is stamped with wood grain pattern stamp which is new too as this is the first time this stamp set was use even it was purchased so long ago! Then, it is distressed with inks to create a wooden look. This wood grain strip will be used as the 'table' for the coffee cup in which it is attached onto a red card base that has been matted with a green plain pattern paper.

Then, the sentiment is stamped onto the green plain pattern paper as in the sketch.

Before the coffee cup is assembled, another sentiment is stamped onto the blue coffee sleeve. Then, the coffee cup is assemble and attached onto the card base.

Made this card for one of my returning Copic markers buyers. This time she bought the Copic multiliners which I newly added into my store.

MFT Wednesday Stamp Club Challenge #205 (MFTWSC205)

I adopt the simple sketch from MFT Wednesday Stamp Club Challenge #205 (MFTWSC205) as shown above. Somehow, I mirror the sketch as I want the sentiment to fit as explained below.

First, the butterfly is stamped onto a white circle and colored using Copic markers. Some dots are randomly added to the proportion of the left wing using glitter silver pen and replicate to the right wing after that. These silvery dots really add some interest onto the butterfly!

A pattern paper that is die cut using the stitched journaling card die is attached onto a yellow card base. Then, the circle butterfly is attached onto the journaling card using foam tape as in the sketch.

Close-up: Sentiment in the banners

For the sentiment, the "Thank You" is stamped in pink ink onto a pink banner with die cut earlier. I am just happy that this "Thank You" banner stamp fit just nice into the banner die cut even they are two (2) different brands. The next sentiment, "For Your Purchase" is also stamped onto the pink banner using pink ink. These sentiment banners are then attached onto the bottom left side of the card as in the sketch. I omitted the third banner from my card as there is not enough room.

For the final finishing, I added two (2) gems onto the butterfly antenna. I also added a pre-made rose as embellishment as in sketch to the card. Finally, the four corners of the card base is rounded to match the journaling card.

Thus, maybe she is well talented in art as well.....

I adopt the simple sketch from Addicted to CAS - Challenge #52 - Sketch as shown above.

I choose a coconut tree with a monkey image as my buyer ambition is to be a successful zoologist. I try to link something that is related to her so that she feel more personal when receiving the card. The image is stamped onto a white card stock and colored using Copic marker. Then, the sky and grassland is created using distress ink. Three (3) orange brads are attached onto the left side of the card as in sketch. It is then attached onto a red card base which already lined with colorful polka dots washi tape using pop dots.

The sentiment is stamped onto a speech bubble and trimmed accordingly. It is attached above the monkey as if the monkey speaking it using partial pop dots and glue. The sentiment arrangement on the sketch make it perfect for such creation! Lastly, three (3) orange gems are added to the bottom of the sentiment.
