New Hero Arts (Basic Grey) Clear Stamp

Hero Arts Basic Grey Konnichiwa Lantern clear stamp
Is been a while since my first ever purchase at Emma's Paperie. However, I never disconnected with Emma's Paperie as I have subscribed to Emma's Paperie newsletter. Now and then, I received Emma's Paperie newsletter but seldom purchase from Emma's Paperie due to the shipping charges is not immediately known. However, on 28 January 2015, there is a 'Winter Blues Sale' which offer 15% discount on all regular priced items. Thus, I went over to have a peek.

There is nothing much I could find on the regular priced items. So, I wander to the 'Clearance Sale' section and browse the items page-by-page for few days until I found Hero Arts Basic Grey Konnichiwa Lantern clear stamp. The price is only at USD$7.50 which is already the half price of its regular price of USD$15! I quickly add this item to the cart as I been searching for images that are suitable to be used for Lunar Chinese New Year.

When I checkout on 01 February 2015, there is a 15% discount code applied! Well, every bit of saving is great for me and I am overly excited and surprised on the additional discount. The next day, Emma's Paperie reverted with the shipping options and after confirmation of my shipping method, I paid for it. Few hours later, I received the shipping notification.

The item is nicely wrapped with pink crepe paper and free gift
After good ten (10) days travelling, the item finally arrived today! I really like how Emma's Paperie package the item to make it more personal which I believe is their marketing strategy. My item, the stamp set is nicely wrapped with a pink crepe paper complete with ribbon tied! It looks like a present and it feel so personal. On the package ribbon, there is a small resealed plastic tied to it which contains two (2) set of ribbons in it. I suppose this is the little free gift Emma's Paperie included for their customers. On my invoice, there is handwriting of 'Thank You!' in pink ink. There is an extra hard cardboard inserted into the envelope which I suppose to protect the stamp set. On the Customs Declaration form, there are both 'Fragile' and 'Do Not Bend' stamping in red ink which really make me feel that Emma's Paperie really take care of their customers.

Although the stamp set is meant for Japanese culture (Konnichiwa is Japanese language means 'Good day'), the Chinese culture is almost the same as Japanese. Thus, this stamp set is really good for Lunar Chinese New Year especially those lanterns. Hopefully, I am able to make use of this stamp set soon especially for some Lunar Chinese New Year cards!

Hero Arts Stamps - Bee Companion Sets!

It was National Scrapbooking Day (NSD) on 05 May 2012. Most of the online stores are having some kinds of sale in supportive of this event. One of them is Emma's Paperie which they offer up to 20% discount storewide.

Earlier, when I visit this store, I have eyed a few back dated Hero Arts stamps that been on my wishlist. The price has been reduced as well and I wanted to purchase them. However, for International shipping charges, they need to contact us back once the order is weighed. I am a bit pulled back on this as I am not sure how much they will charge, I mean I do not have an estimated shipping charges which I am not sure if they will charge too high or how.

While I am considering, I received their newsletter on the 03 May 2012 that they are having "National Scrapbooking Day Sale" from 03 May 2012 till 07 May 2012 with 20% discount storewide. I quickly navigate to their store and put two (2) of my wishlist stamps into the cart. I try to checkout and use the coupon code. It is indeed further 20% discount applied to the pre-discount price! I am so happy that I have some further savings!

Still, I am afraid on the high shipping charges. Thus, on 04 May 2012, I contact Emma's Paperie using the "Contact Us" form. I ask if I do not agree to the shipping charges they quote, can I cancel the order. The next day, Cindy from Emma's Paperie replied that I can do so if I think that the shipping charges is too high. She explains that they do not charge credit cards until the buyer approved shipping or if using PayPal, buyer do not click the "Continue" after click on "Place Order".

Upon getting that reply, I place my order accordingly. They send me a order confirmation and inform that they will finalize the order by contacting us back once the order is weighed. I waited patiently until 10 May 2012 Malaysia time and yet no reply from them. Thus, I wrote to them to ask if they have my order processed. Later in the day, I received their reply thru PayPal requesting for payment. In the request e-mail, they have stated how much is the shipping charges and explain that they are busy on the sale week which delayed the e-mail reply. The shipping charge is a bit high compare to the shipping charges charged by Custom Crops but I think it is standard as Simon Says Stamp eBay store also charge almost the same amount.

I made my payment accordingly on the same day. Few minutes after I made the payment, I received Emma's Paperie shipping notification that my order has been shipped! That is fast! I hope that it will arrive fast as well.

Nicely wrapped with ribbon
The package finally arrived today! When I open the package, I was surprised on how Emma's Paperie use personal touch as their marketing strategy as both of the stamp sets I bought are nicely wrapped with a light green tracing paper complete with ribbon! It looks like a present and it feel so personal. Other than that, they also give me a free gift which is Daisy D's Chloe Marie Journaling Cardstock Stickers. I seldom use stickers on my card or do scrapbook a lot but nothing bets a free gift.

I am so happy that I have complete the 'bee companion sets'! I love those houses in the stamps so much that I have some ideas how to use them as well as the sentiments! I am thinking some modification to the sentiments! ;P
