Stitching Salam Aidilfitri

Made another Hari Raya Aidilfitri card for my neighbor on the left.

Clean and Simple Stamping - FTL251

I adopt the simple sketch from Clean and Simple Stamping - FTL251 as shown above. This is my first time playing with them as well. Although there is no winner for this challenge, I like this time sketch so much that I cannot resists not to play with it!

Close-up : Top portion with punched border

For the top portion of the card, a yellow card stock is trimmed and punched with a border design. A light green card stock is trimmed and the two (2) corners at the bottom are rounded. Some cross faux stitching are added to the border of the panel using green pen. It is later attached onto a dark green card base. 

Close-up : Sentiment

The sentiment, Salam Aidilfitri (meaning Eid Greetings) is customized using alphabets. It is stamped onto an ivory card stock and trimmed accordingly. The two (2) corners at the bottom are rounded as well. Some line faux stitching are added to the border of the panel using green pen. It is attached onto the light green panel earlier follow by the yellow punched panel as in sketch.

Close-up : The overlapping ketupat

The green ketupat is then attached on the middle of the two (2) panels as in the sketch. The yellow-orange ketupat is layered on top of the green ketupat using pop dots so that it would have some dimension.

The card is finished off with some green gems added at the left and right top corner of the yellow panel.

As the card base is a bit dark to write message, a light green with punched border on the right inlay is used.

Silvery Salam Aidilfitri

Made this Hari Raya Aidilfitri card for my neighbor on the right. I am using ketupat in this card as it is a great image for Hari Raya Aidilfitri! Furthermore, it is really easy to make using Chari Moss' patchwork paper technique! ;)

Sketchbook Saturday - Challenge #101

I adopt the simple sketch from Sketchbook Saturday - Challenge #101 as shown above. This is my first time playing with them. Hope they treat me nice! :P

It is a simple sketch whereby I just trim a shimmering silver card stock and attach it onto the left side of a dark green card base. Then, a zig zag pattern paper is trimmed accordingly and it is attached to the right side of the card base. The corner is rounded.

Close-up : Sentiment

The sentiment, Salam Aidilfitri (meaning Eid Greetings) is customized using alphabets. It is stamped onto the pattern paper panel at the right bottom corner.

Close-up : The overlapping ketupat

The yellow-orange ketupat is then attached on the middle of the two (2) panels as in the sketch. The green ketupat is layered on top of the yellow-orange ketupat using pop dots so that it would have some dimension.

Close-up : Yellow gems on the left top corner

The card is finished off with some green gems added at the bottom of the sentiment as well as the left top corner of the shimmering silver panel.

I am out of idea and time for the third set of the mini Hari Raya Aidilfitri card! Thus, I make use of the ketupat again using Chari Moss' patchwork paper technique!

Freshly Made Sketches #96 - A Sketch by Amy

I adopt the simple sketch from Freshly Made Sketches #96 - A Sketch by Amy as shown above. I turned the sketch 90 degree to accommodate my ketupat.

Since the sketch is so simple, I just attach two (2) strips of washi tape directly on to a yellow card based as in sketch. The sentiment, Salam Aidilfitri (meaning Eid Greetings) is customized using alphabets. It is then stamped onto the card at the bottom.

Close-up : Raised at the center of the ketupat

I make a slightly bigger ketupat this time using combination of pink and red so that it will be the focal of my card. A red ribbon with gold lining is attached to the ketupat to make its tails. I added a pop dot to the center of the ketupat before I attach it onto the card as in sketch so that it has a little dimension.

Eventually, I forgotten about my sentiment at the bottom in which the ketupat's tail has covered partial of it. Well, just treat it as hidden or secretive sentiment which will give the recipient some surprise!

The second set of the mini Hari Raya Aidilfitri card, I decided to use flower as inspired by the Pinspired Challenge #14 shown below. It is not really Hari Raya Aidilfitri related image but I decided to go out of tradition.

Try Stampin' On Tuesday Challenge #128

I adopt the simple sketch from Try Stampin' On Tuesday Challenge #128 as shown above. I turned the sketch 180 degree to accommodate the layout of my images.

Close-up : Stamped background in gold ink

The background is stamped on a light yellow card stock in gold ink and trimmed accordingly. It is attached onto a green card base. On top of it, a blue striped ribbon is added as in sketch.

Close-up : Sentiment

The sentiment, Salam Aidilfitri (meaning Eid Greetings) is customized using alphabets. It is then stamped onto a green strip. The green strip is then attached onto the card base as in the sketch.

Close-up : Flower and leaves

The flower and leaves are stamped on the white card stock and colored using Copic markers. They are attached onto the card as in sketch.

The card is finished off with some pearls added near the leaves above the ribbon and at the left bottom corner.
